Welcome to the Online charter school governing board training modules

Thank you for your commitment to professional development as a Colorado charter school governing board member. When governing board members commit to professional development and training, this best practice is modeled for other members of the school community including administration, staff, and the parent community at the school. While these training modules provide a comprehensive range of topics and an in depth look at governance and charter school oversight, they should not supplant other training opportunities and resources. It is important to recognize that there is great value in attending training sessions as team. Equally important is to select unique and differentiated training opportunities based on a formal needs assessment of your governing board. The board training modules provide guidance on a wide range of topics regarding the oversight and governance of charter schools. When complete, the modules will address over thirty topics, totaling over fifteen hours of professional development for charter school governing board members. There are currently several modules available; all thirty modules should be available by the end of the year.
